Kerala's first Malayalam charismatic retreat centre, two minutes from the shrine of St. Alphonsa.
On 24 September 1976, Fr. Armond, a Franciscan Capuchin priest and Servant of God, led the very first residential charismatic retreat conducted in Malayalam anywhere in Kerala. It marked the beginning of a ministry that continues, unbroken, to this day.
Directors and animators across the decades — among them Fr. Gratian, OFM Cap — have carried that lamp forward. The Centre still holds its singular attraction and spiritual atmosphere, drawing thousands of retreatants each year to a campus just 600 metres from the shrine of St. Alphonsa, India's first canonised woman saint.
“The centre continues to carry out the task of giving spiritual guidance and healing to hundreds and thousands of God's children.”
